Affordable Housing
City council must drastically reduce development & provide housing opportunities affordable to the working class. Chesapeake's unsupportable sprawl & unaffordable real estate can be addressed by revitalizing areas with existing infrastructure.
Borough Representation
City council must recognize each borough as worthy of attention, resources, & support. Chesapeake's current at-large voting system is the primary obstacle preventing equitable representation & must be replaced with a ward system.
Collective Bargaining
City council must follow the lead of other localities in the Commonwealth & provide their employees the opportunity to negotiate the terms of their contracts.
Justice in the life and conduct of the state is possible only as first it resides in the hearts and souls of the citizens
